The Challenge
With SFC having little to no experience in web, we were happy to full control over the design and build of this project. After meeting with the gym coach, it was clear to see the love and passion he had for what he had built over the years and also the efforts he had gone to deliver the absolute best training environment for his students. We were determined to reciprocate this diligence by creating a website that the gym could be proud of.
The goal was to present users with useful information about the gym whilst demonstrating the clubs true professionalism and dedication to the sport. With this in mind, we were keen to implement an effective user journey across all devices.
The Solution
The design team worked the clock to carefully devise an overall visual identity that would compliment the gyms ethos. Together, with the chosen colour palette and 'rustic' torn effect for page separations, we were able to produce a series of desktop designs that felt just right. A combination of custom features, including; a weekly timetable for the gyms schedule, an embedded video player and a live Instagram feed meant that user could readily discover information on the gym whilst getting a feel for what SFC stands for.
As well as providing information for new potentials, we felt it was equally important to include a space for the seasoned boxing team to show off their record as fighters for club. The 'fighters' page includes a list of the gyms active athletes, solidifying the importance of their contribution to the gym.
We understood that the majority of users would be browsing the website on the go; a factor that we had to keep in mind during the design & development stage of the build. Refining information and presenting a seamless mobile experience is something we polished for SFC, with a clear-to-navigate interface for optimal conversions.

We had no idea what we wanted on the website, we just needed somewhere where people could find out about the club. Oli and the team went above and beyond to give us a website that makes other gym's look mediocre. We have had so many compliments on the website and are always proud to show it off. We couldn't have had this privilege without Zen!
